PROVING TO GEORGIANS YOU JUST DON’T UNDERSTAND

At a Chamber of Commerce breakfast in Columbus this morning, Jim Martin fumbled again this time turning his back on our small businesses!

ü Columbus Chamber Vice President Harold Wyatt asked a very simple & straight forward question about a provision in this past summer’s housing bill that adversely effects small businesses like TSYS in Columbus. But Jim Martin clearly didn’t have a clue as to what Harold was talking about!
o “This is an important detail for TSYS and Synovus obviously, but the crisis was caused by 8 years of mismanagement of the economy. [AUDIENCE LAUGHTER] What was going on frankly was trying to come up with a way for the taxpayers to $700 billion of our money and our children’s money and our grandchildren’s money to solve a problem that had been developing for a long time without any reasonable oversight at the federal level, SEC having no control over credit default swaps and other kind of sophisticated derivatives that got us into this problem. That needs to change – someone needs to stand up for working Americans and not the special interest.” – Jim Martin

WHAT? REALLY JIM? WHAT QUESTION WERE YOU ANSWERING?

That is the second time this week! Can you just not be bothered to learn about the important issues facing Georgians? I guess they don’t put local Georgia issues in your liberal, Democratic playbook!

ü During the WALB/WTOC debate that aired October 20, when Jim Martin about his support of the Savannah Harbor Deepening Project he said “I’m not for that at this point.”
